Another Trolley Trail

While I’m in Pennsylvania for the next two months, I thought I’d try as many walking trails as I could as I wind through the Keystone state. Trail number five is the Trolley Trail: La Plume to Factoryville.

This trail is another beautiful walking path existing on the old railbed of the Scranton Railway Company’s Northern Electric Spur. This segment curls around the north side of Keystone College in Factoryville PA. It actually connects to several other trails in and around campus. I wish I had noticed this a few days ago, as I could have explored the area more thoroughly.

Lots of water running on and under the trail

As it was, I was enroute to my next venue in Montrose and was under a little of a time constraint. To say nothing of the fact that it was raining and I got soaked during my little 45 minute outing. It was well worth it. Due to the heavy rain from the recent storms in the area, there were numerous heavily running waterfalls and runoff areas.
