COVID-19 Quarantine: Day 30

Haven’t felt like writing lately, but I thought I should record something.  Tammy and I are still doing well.  We’re just holed up here on the mountain, waiting for things to get better.  I don’t know why they would, at least anytime soon.  They say things won’t really get back to “normal” until they have a vaccine.  Which should only take another year+.  Until then, hopefully they can refine something that will make it a little less deadly.  This is the first time I’ve ever really worried about getting sick with something like this.  I don’t know if it’s my age or what exactly, but I am genuinely anxious about contracting this.  It doesn’t seem to care about age or fitness.  I think I would be OK, but who knows?  And that is the rub.

But life goes on.  So last week, I applied for a job as a training instructor for the State of Colorado Fire Service.  I have a virtual interview this Friday.  I have to upload some PowerPoint slides to them and I guess they look at them while I do a short presentation.  Afterwards, I get grilled for approximately 30 minutes.  Sounds like a good time.  I’m not really sure I would want a full time job, but it has insurance for Tammy, and, it’s basically doing what I am now, albeit, just in Colorado.  It’s for the western half of the state, which could be cool.  Wish me luck! (EDIT: I didn’t get it)
