Goodbye Harley Quinn

Arleen Sorkin, the inspiration for the Batman character Harley Quinn, has passed after losing her years long battle against multiple sclerosis. A good friend of Paul Dini, a writer on BTAS who was struggling to come up with characters for the new show, she showed him a video of a dream sequence she performed on a daytime soap opera. This inspired him to create the character, for which Arleen provided the voice. The character became hugely popular (one of my all time favorites) and has been voiced by many different actresses since. Her work on the series with Mark Hamill as the Joker is the high water mark for all animated series.
